Tiny Hot Dogs

Problem
Inspired Girl Enterprises was staging a one-night live table read of Tiny Hot Dogs, the scripted series adaptation of Mary Giuliani's memoir. The evening had to introduce a series that does not exist yet to a room of cast, partners, and industry guests — and the program was the only thing every guest would take home.
- Introduce an unproduced series to an industry audience in a single sitting
- Carry logline, synopsis, cast, and creative team without reading as a pitch deck
- Match the tone of the show: warm, funny, unmistakably New York
- Fixed event date, with a print deadline that could not slip
Approach
I built the booklet around one high-contrast device — a bright yellow band anchoring every spread — so ten pages read as a single object rather than a stack of layouts. Condensed display type carries the headers, an italic serif handles pull quotes, and the margins stay generous enough to keep dense credit lists legible in low theatre light.
- 10-page editorial system: cover, welcome letter, logline and synopsis, cast, creator and team bios, sponsors, closing
- Yellow header band as the structural constant across every spread
- Condensed sans display paired with an italic serif for pull quotes
- Cast list set for scanning — performer in bold, role in a lighter weight
- Built in InDesign and exported press-ready as PDF/X-4 with bleeds and crop marks

Outcome
The program was printed and handed to every guest at the August 3rd presentation at STORIED in Chelsea — a live table read starring Isaac Mizrahi, Mindy Cohn, Elizabeth Bracco, Michael Rispoli, Murray Hill, Samantha Mathis, Wilson Cruz, and Riley Prior, directed by Mike Smith.
- Complete 10-page program delivered against a fixed event deadline
- Press-ready PDF/X-4 output, printed without revision
- Credited by name in the printed program
- Doubles as a leave-behind for a series in active development with Viewpark
